What an inspiring speech from such an influential artist!
Of note, Gaiman goes on record saying that he got his first big break by flat-out lying about his experience. I love that. Although he’s right that, in today’s electronic society, fraudulently claiming experience you don’t have is very difficult to get away with, I appreciate his point—“fake it until you make it” is the applicable cliche, I believe.
